Remus blushed and ran a hand over his face. He noticed Peter staring at him from the seat in front. Remus covered the parchment partially with his arm. He wasn’t ready for the other Marauders taking a peek at his apparent lovelife with Sirius. He wrote back:

“Pads…we haven’t snogged even once. What makes you think we would have snogged in the past five minutes? Also…” Remus picked up his quill and thought for a moment. He didn’t want to sound too weird with this next part. “I am looking forward to snogging though. I was wondering when we were going to actually do anything ‘boyfriend’ related. I’ve never seen you go this slow in a relationship before.” Remus recalled some of Sirius’ famous flavors-of-the-week. He would snog girls the first date, and go right to the sex on the second. Why was he trying so hard to be the complete opposite of that all of a sudden?

The main reason that Sirius went particularly slow with Remus was that the other boy was too important for him and he couldn’t afford to lose him and ruin everything if he was too forward.  It was therefore a surprise when Remus brought the subject up himself, as if he had given permission to Sirius to proceed further.

Sirius grinned broadly at the note like a happy puppy, making James, who was sitting next to him stared at him wide-eyed.  ”Good point, Moony. What do you say we skive this lesson and go somewhere to have fun while everyone’s still in class?”

Remus furiously scribbled back. “No! This is an important lesson!!!” he wrote. Yeah, an important lesson…Remus hadn’t payed a single ounce of attention to any of his classes that involved Sirius. But still…Professor McGonagall wasn’t just going to let them skive off for no reason. “Let’s just wait,” he wrote, hoping Sirius would be okay with that. Remus looked up to catch his eye, but instead got at note thrown at his face by James. The note read:

“Moony—-Sirius won’t let me see that piece of paper in front of him. I know you guys are planning some sort of prank. I WANT IN.”

Remus frowned. If James saw the parchment, if would mean they’d have to explain their relationship. It wasn’t much of a relationship, but it was something. Remus looked at James and shook his head. This was the wrong thing to do apparently, because it immediately caused Peter so start whispering “Moony….what’s going on? What are you and James doing? Can I join?” Remus gave Peter an exasperated look.

Remus felt a paper hit him on the shoulder. He frowned slightly at Sirius before picking it up and reading it under his desk.

Remus pulled out his wand and tapped the parchment, then looked over at Sirius and trying to gesture in a way that would make Sirius realize he had charmed the parchment so they could write notes to each other without having to pass them.

He chucked the parchment back in Sirius’ direction and then pulled out another piece and charmed that one to receive messages from the other. He then wrote, in much neater handwriting than his friend:

“You miss me? You just saw me at lunch five minutes ago.”

It immediately came to Sirius’ realisation that Remus had done something to the piece of parchment when the other boy gestured to him.  Sirius winked at Remus in response, admiring how the other’s ideas had always made their lives easier.

He caught his own parchment, spreading it out on his table, wasn’t scared of being discovered by the professor and observed it until Remus’ writing appeared on it. He smiled at the words, typical Moony, he thought. ”Five minutes is a lot! Think of the things we could do in that short period of time! Like snogging, snogging and snogging!”

Remus blushed and ran a hand over his face. He noticed Peter staring at him from the seat in front. Remus covered the parchment partially with his arm. He wasn’t ready for the other Marauders taking a peek at his apparent lovelife with Sirius. He wrote back:

Finding Comfort Part 2 @Remus + Sirius + Cissa

Remus took a few deep breaths and ran a hand through his hair. “Look, I don’t live here anymore. Sirius is free to have whomever he wants shacking up with him.” Remus probably should have argued a bit more about this issue, but he REALLY didn’t want to be there with Lucius and Sirius while they discussed their “matters”.

He was tired and emotional and really should reprimand Sirius for Apparating him places without his permission. “Lucius, if you don’t want me here, then that makes two of us not wanting me here.” He turned to leave, but looked at Sirius in the last moment.

“Sirius, I understand that Lucius needs a place to stay, and that you don’t have my company anymore while I’m at Hogwarts. I don’t want to be the jealous, possessive werewolf here. Just do what you want.”

Sirius looked hurt when Remus agreed with this so easily. “Hey, you haven’t even asked for my opinion.” He protested but the other seemed to have ignored him and was determined to leave. It was when Remus finally looked at him directly before he left that he thought there might be a chance to make him stay. He didn’t hesitate and grab the other man’s wrist. “You know I wouldn’t mind you being jealous or possessive. In fact, I’ve told you many times that I find you cute when you’re acting like that…” He looked sincere in his eyes, kind of like pleading. “Please, Remus? Can you just stay?”

Remus’ blush at the “cute” comment betrayed his anger at Sirius once again holding him like he owned Remus or something. “If I stay…do I get to make demands? Do I get a say in what goes on around here?” He tilted his head to one side and looked Sirius dead in the eye. “I’m not your whore Sirius! I’m not going to be used and then thrown away when you feel you want to have sex with someone else’s husband again!”

He took a deep breath again and looked away. “Since apparently I’m needed here, I’m going to go fix myself some tea while you two figure out exactly what your arrangement is going to be.

Sixth Year Remus and Sirius: Classes

siriusblacktheiii:

marauderremus:

Remus and Sirius hadn’t had the chance to spend much alone time together in the weeks following Valentine’s Day.  Quidditch practice for Sirius, Prefect duties for Remus, and generally difficult N.E.W.T. level classes had them extraordinarily busy. Two days before the full moon, Remus couldn’t help but feel like the stress of life had finally gotten the better of him.

And it wasn’t only classes, duties, and the upcoming moon that stressed him out. No, the worst stressor was the hyper-awareness he felt every time he sat next to Sirius. Sirius. Remus had been worried that his friend was losing interest in their relationship. They barely talked about it, they never held hands, and neither of them had even told James.

But Remus hadn’t forgotten Sirius’ ‘I love you’. He thought about it constantly. Even as he sat in Transfiguration Class, he barely paid attention to Professor McGonagall as he thought about how Sirius loved him.

Sirius wasn’t sure if he should be happy or sad about his new relation with Remus. Everything resumed back to normal and it didn’t feel like they were going out at all after their first date.  Stupid school and stupid people. Sirius constantly put the blame on other things as he began to get more and more frustrated about their situation.

He’d already tried to find any chance to snog or hold hand with Remus but their friends (or practically everyone!) just didn’t seem to like the idea of leaving them alone.  The best Sirius could do was to sit beside Remus whenever possible and other times, like now, he could only watch Remus at a distance.

As Sirius was overly aware of his feelings for the other boy while Remus had never admitted to have any feelings for him at all, Sirius was sometimes uncharacteristically hesitant to bring the subject up again.  Bottling things up never worked well on Sirius, though and he could eventually stand it no more that he pulled a piece of parchment out from his school bag and scribbled “I miss you, Moony” on it before throwing it at Remus’ direction when McGonagall turned away from the class.

Lucius watched both men struggle against each other. “I do want to apologize to you Remus. I was wrong in what I did with Sirius. If there was something I could do to make it up to you, name it and I would do it.”

Lucius turned to Sirius, running his fingers through his hair, “And I need to talk to you about some things that I feel that Remus doesn’t need to know about.”

“He’s not my new lover!” Sirius retorted and only released Remus when he seemed to have calmed down.  He looked away, appeared to be uneasy as Lucius suggested to talk alone. “I’m not sure about this, Lucius…” He cast a glance at Remus before looking at Lucius again. Their predicament was already bad enough that he didn’t want to cause further misunderstanding between him and Remus. “We are all in the same boat so I believe that Remus also has the right to know if it’s related to what we are dealing with.”

Lucius sighed and looked between both men, rubbing the back of his neck. “Look I can’t stay at my house. I need a place to stay. Would it be okay if I stayed here with you until Narcissa gets less angry. I’m scared she might try to kill me.” He really didn’t want to be asking this infront of Lupin, but since Sirius asked he did.

Remus took a few deep breaths and ran a hand through his hair. “Look, I don’t live here anymore.
